It’s interesting, because Keith was the longtime boyfriend of actress Ryan Destiny – and was so while Keith was filming the movie with Gabrielle.

That’s important, because Gabrielle, in her autobiography, referred to Ryan Destiny as her “rival.” Gabrielle talked about a very confrontational interaction with Ryan in her book:

“Just the night before, I had attended a pre-Oscar cocktail party for women in film. There I had met a young actor named Ryan Destiny,” she wrote. “She had appeared in the Lee Daniels series Star. The Straight Outta Compton actor, 29, and Star actress, 27, split eralirt this year, after four years together, Media Take Out reported.

“They’re taking time to focus on themselves and their emerging careers but are remaining close friends,” People magazine reported at the time.

Powers has leading roles in two upcoming Netflix films, including The Uglies (opposite Joey King), and is also starring alongside Gabrielle Union in Perfect Find. Gabrielle first broke the news last month, when during an interview, she explained that she and her husband have separate accounts, and that the two split all the household bills (including travel) fifty-fifty.

Now this week, on Shannon Shape’s new podcast, Dwyane elaborated on the couple’s finances, Media Take Out confirmed.

In this episode of Club Shay Shay, Dywane Wade spoke about Gabrielle Unions 50/50 comment.

He explained that Gabrielle takes care of all her family bills and he takes care of all of his families bills. Dwyane claims that he supports, his children, his sister, and many in Wade’s extended family.

Then he turned to the Dwyane and Gabrielle’s expenses together. According to the $200M baller, Gabrielle takes it upon herself to pay for stuff.

For example, she paid for a portion of the house because she wanted to. He also said that he reads the peoples comments regarding their relationship and would prefer if she not talk about it but he doesn’t control her.

Then Dwwyane dropped a bombshell. He told Shannon that the couple both signed a prenup; he said she earned her own money so if she decides to leave him, it makes sense for her to keep it.

Of course, it also makes sense (in his mind) that if they split, he keeps the $200M fortune that he made playing basketball.

Gabrielle told the interviewer that she feel the constant pressure to make money. She feels like there’s a gorilla on her back because she has to keep working for people to eat. It’s hard for her to change her mindset.

NEUTROGENA was her first big endorsement. Her contract was renewed for many years until they replaced her with Kerry Washington. She felt rejected, but it helped her become strategic about branding herself.

Since she started working in late 1995 until now (2023), she’s never been anybody’s first choice – not black folks or white folks – but she has been lucky to keep landing roles.

During their acceptance speech, both Dwyane and Gabrielle chose to speak almost exclusively about their transgender daughter Zaya and Black LGBTQIA rights. As Media Take Out reported, on Friday, a court granted Dwyane Wade and Zaya, over the wishes of Zaya’s mother, the right to change the teenager’s gender legally.

It was a pretty impassioned speech.

Zaya Wade was born Zion Malachi Airamis Wade, the child of former National Basketball Association player Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Funches. After her parents divorced in 2007, her father married actress Gabrielle Union in 2014. She has an older brother, Zaire, and two younger siblings, Xavier and Kaavia.

When Zaya was 12, she came out as transgender to her family, and one year later – she came out to the world. Since coming out, Zaya has received praise from the media and dozens of lucrative endorsements. But not all has been good for the teenage trans-person.

Zaya has been under heavy scrutiny by some in the Black community. Her mother, Siohvaughn Wade has also called into question how “authentic” Zaya’s transgender status is. In legal documents filed last year, Siohvaughn claimed that Dwyane and Gabrielle Union are pressuring the teenager to be female, for financial gain and clout.

Dwyane and Gabrielle have vehemently denied Siohvaughn’s claims.

Dwyane Wade and Zaya’s mother Siohvaughn Wade are in the midst of a bitter court battle. Dwyane is asking a court to have the 15 year old Zaya’s gender legally changed – from male to female.

Changing a child’s gender legally has a number of implications, for example, if Zaya’s gender were changed to “female,” she will be eligible to undergo gender altering surgery.

Siohvaughn Wade, who is a devout Christian, wants to stop the court from changing Zaya’s gander. According to Siohvaughn, who made her feelings clear in legal documents. she believes that Dwyane and his new wife Gabrielle Union are pressuring the child to make life changing decisions. Siohvaughn claims that Dwyane and Gabrielle are using Zaya’s “transgender” status for clout and financial gain.

Dwyane and Gabrielle are committed, however, to fighting Siohvaughn in court, and getting Zaya to be legally recognized as a female. In her latest post Gabrielle writes, “No matter the challenge, we 10 toes down. Always.”

Yesterday, Media Take Out learned that Gabrielle posted a series of images, one of which showed the extent of her hair loss. Gabrielle calls her hair loss a “headband of baldness.”

Gabrielle spoke about her hair loss in 2020 – with an intimate group of beauty editors during a virtual meeting. She told them, “After multiple rounds of IVF, it had left like a headband of baldness,”

“And after every IVF round, about a dime-sized bald spot would open up on some part of my head. Over time those bald spots started to connect like friends, like ‘Hey, girl!’ It just formed a headband right in the front of my head and around my crown.”

She explained, “They were just like ‘Wear wigs or get a weave. Who’s going to notice?’ Uhh, everyone!”

Gabrielle added, “There’s so much shame and humiliation surrounding hair loss.”

“It was awful to try and sell a brand that I was proud of at the time, but not able to share with people my truth. I’m pretty transparent to a default some would say.”

Gabrielle Union talked openly about her frequent past infidelities on the latest “Armchair Expert,” with Dax Shepard.

Gabrielle admitted to frequently cheating, and explained that she doesn’t feel any guilt for her infidelity during her marriage.

“I definitely was not getting Wife of the Year Awards,” Union said of her first marriage. “I had some focus issues, you know.” She was married to NFL running back Chris Howard from 2001 to 2006.

“In our first marriage, neither one of us felt like the marriage should get in the way of our dating,” Union explained. For her at the time, she says she was “battling her own sense of entitlement.”

Gabrielle suspected her husband of cheating – and started getting side d*** as revenge.

“I was like, Oh, that’s what you’re doing?” Gabrielle explained. In response, she’d hit back with, “You’re gonna feel this one.”

But not all of Gebrielle’s cheating was “revenge d***.” The gorgeous actress admitted that she also felt “entitled” to cheat because she was paying the bills and working hard in life.

“I felt that that’s what comes, the spoils of riches,” she said. “Like my dad before me, whoever has the most gets to do whatever the hell they want, is what I thought.”

According to Gabrielle, she was “horny for validation and having certain kinds of guys like me and want me. That made me feel like I was worthy and good and valuable and deserving.”

Gabrielle then turned the discussion to her relationship with current husband Dwyane Wade.

“We randomly came back around as more healed people and more open to understanding our complicity in some of the challenges that we created for ourselves,” she said.

“We are way easier to point the finger, you did this to me, you caused that, this person did this, and it’s like, okay, we’re grown,” Union added. “I’m super-grown at this– I’m 40+ at this point and it’s like, I don’t want to live like this. None of this feels good and it’s exhausting and I want a love that feels like freedom.”

She didn’t explain what “freedom” was, exactly.

“Now we’re both free and we are free to choose ourselves and free to choose each other every day, which is a completely different sentiment,” she told Shepard.

Zaya’s father Dwyane recently petitioned a court to have Zaya’s gender changed to “female,” without the permission of Zaya’s mom Siohvaughn. Media Take Out confirmed that Siovaughn is fighting to prevent the change in court until the child turns 18.

Gabrielle Union is starring with Jake Gyllenhaal in a new animated Disney film. They play a married couple, Meridian and Searcher Clade, who must go on a mission to save their world. Union says that she prepared for the role by pulling from her own life experiences.

The new movie “The Inspection,” chronicles a closeted gay man’s journey through the armed forces. Union-Wade plays the protagonist’s homophobic mother.

During an interview with Van Lathan about her new movie, Union states that parents have thanked her for using this movie to open their eyes to how they are failing their LGBTQ children.

Union goes on to claim, unprovoked, that she chose this role in an attempt to “get through to” one particular parent; then alludes to the parent being the real mother to Union’s step-child and trans person, Zaya.

Lathan then ask Union to clarify if she is speaking about Zaya’s real mother and Union agrees.

Last month, Zaya’s father Dwyane Wade petitioned the court to unilaterally change Zaya’s gender on her birth certificate from male to female. In the court documents, Dwyane told the court that Zaya’s mother, Siovaughn Wade, should have no say in the decision since he is the custodial parent.

Many fans of Dwyane Wade are speculating that the legal gender change is the first step in Zaya undergoing a medical procedure to change her body parts, and begin getting hormonal treatment. Zaya is just 15 years old.

And Dwyane is making the petition without the consent of Zaya’s mother Siovaughn Wade, which is surprising to many fans of Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union.

According to new legal documents, filed by Dwyane’s high-priced lawyers, the former NBA player is petitioning a Los Angeles County Court to make Zaya’s transition official. Dwyane and Siovaughn’s youngest child’s name is legally Zion Malachi Airamis Wade, and they are changing her name to Zaya Malachi Airamis Wade.

In the court documents, seen by Media Take Out, Dwayne points out that the child’s mother, Christian pastor Siohvaughn Funches does not need to consent to this legal change.

Dwyane’s lawyers write, “Pursuant to the terms of the Final Custody Judgment, (Dwyane) has full authority to make decisions on behalf of the petitioning minor, and he is not required to receive consent from Ms. Funches-Wade.”

Siovaughn has been noticeably quiet about her feelings about Zaya’s new gender identity. But as Media Take Out has reported in the past, Siovaughn who is a religious leader has suggested in some of her sermons that she is, at the very least, uncomfortable with what’s going on in the Wade household.

Dwyane’s lawyers claim that, while they didn’t get the consent of Zaya’s other birth parent, “as a courtesy, Ms. Funches-Wade has received notice of this petition.”

In the filing, Dwyane is asking that the court legally issues a decree recognizing that the minors’ gender is changed to “female,” reasoning that the change should be done “to conform with gender identity.”

Now Zaya, 14, is speaking out about her personal life in a joint interview with Gabrielle Union for People magazine.

The now daughter of Dwyane Wade addressed how she has learned to thrive in a world where she has become the subject of love and hate. Zaya also talked about the “motherly advice” that she has received from Gabrielle Union.

“As a trans person, once I came out, there was a lot of hateful comments about how I should grow my hair out long or fit into a certain version of femininity, even though that’s not true at all,” Zaya said. “That kind of advice is just trying to break you, but don’t let it.”

“[My stepmother, Gabrielle Union], telling me that not everyone in the world and in the media is going to be truthful about what you look like…I don’t have to believe everything they say. The only thing I have to believe is what I feel and what beauty means to me…I think focusing on inner beauty is the most important.”

Dwyane Wade explained the moment when he and wife Gabrielle Union decided to allow Zaya to change gender – from boy to girl. Zaya (then named Zaire) was just 3 years old at the time.

According to Dwayne and Gabrielle, Zaya Wade knew since she was 3 years old that she was transgender.

“Zaya has known it for nine years,” the retired NBA star told Robin Roberts last year during an interview with “Good Morning America.”

Dwyane told Good Morning America, “It was a process for us to sit down with our daughter and find out what she likes and who she is,”

Well now Media Take Out has seen rumors on social media that Zaya has a boyfriend. And  the teenage boyfriend appears to be transgender too.

Zaya Wade’s stepmother Gabrielle Union posted a picture of the family – and Zaya has her arm around the new friend.

Zaya’s boyfriend’s name is Hudson. But like Zaya, Hudson appears to be trans too. If the photos on his public IG page are accurate, he appears to have been born with female body parts, but identifies as a male.

Media Take Out obtained photos of Gabby taken this weekend, where she showed off her natural body.

Unlike MOST women in Hollywood, Gabrielle has NEVER had any cosmetic surgery – to her face or body. She never even got veneers.

Everything that you see here was created by God, diet, and a lot of hard work at the gym.

Gabrielle is best known for her performances in the romantic comedy films The Brothers (2001), Deliver Us from Eva (2003), Daddy’s Little Girls (2007), Think Like a Man (2012) and Think Like a Man Too (2014). She also had starring roles in the CBS medical drama series City of Angels (2000) and films Bad Boys II (2003), Cradle 2 the Grave (2003), Neo Ned (2005), Cadillac Records (2008), Top Five (2014) and Breaking In (2018). In 2013, Union began starring as lead character in the BET drama series Being Mary Jane, for which she has received an NAACP Image Award. She co-starred in the 2016 film The Birth of a Nation, and next appeared in Almost Christmas (2016) and Sleepless (2017).

Outside acting, Union has written four books: two memoirs, entitled We’re Going to Need More Wine (2017) and You Got Anything Stronger? (2021), and two children’s books, entitled Welcome to the Party (2020) and Shady Baby (2021). She has also been an outspoken advocate for issues involving women’s health and violence against women. Union was included on Time’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.
