DaBaby came close to being canceled after he made homophobic remarks at a Rolling Loud concert. He also faced backlash for siding with Tory Lanez against Megan Thee Stallion and allegedly even planned to ambush her with Lanez during her performance.

In a sentencing memorandum obtained by journalist Meghann Cuniff, prosecutors claimed that Lanez showed up at Rolling Loud Miami despite being instructed not to be within 100 yards of Megan and that he allegedly plotted with DaBaby, who was performing after Megan, to rush Megan’s performance. Lanez later appeared as a surprise guest during DaBaby’s timeslot.

“During the victim’s performance, the defendant went through security clearance and entered the green room,” the memo reads. “These areas were within 100 yards of the stage where the victim was performing, in violation of the protective order. It was also brought to the victim’s attention that the defendant and DaBaby attempted to rush the stage… In no way was the victim previously aware of nor did she consent to the defendant’s presence at the venue when she would be performing.”

Prosecutors are trying to get the judge to give Lanez at least 13 years in prison.

According DaBaby’s lawyer, he “cannot be called to testify in this matter until after his criminal case has been resolved, which will not be until October 2023, at minimum,” RadarOnline reports. “If the trial date is not continued, [DaBaby] will not be able to respond to discovery or testify without providing information that could potentially incriminate him in the parallel criminal case. The trial date must be continued to protect [DaBaby’s] Fifth Amendment rights.”

The public information being released is false and we didn’t authorize anyone to announce the cancellation of this event.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, our intentions and actions have been to work with the Smoothie King Center and artist management to postpone this event. We are in the process of working with all parties involved to announce future dates and times.”

DaBaby made the news after a fan tried to break into his home, but the robber could be heard crying in a 911 call the rapper made to the cops after subduing him.

The man who attacked Chappelle was allegedly stomped out by security after storming the stage.

The police department says they will not be charging any of Chappelle’s crew for the beatdown.

“After reviewing the evidence, prosecutors determined that while criminal conduct occurred, the evidence as presented did not constitute felony conduct,” a spokesperson for the department said. “The District Attorney’s Office does not prosecute misdemeanor crimes within the city of Los Angeles.”
