On Thursday, a second judge upheld the bond order by the first judge. Boosie said he paid the full $50,000 cash bond but he is still in a San Diego jail.

Boosie told his fans, “After the judge has granted me a bond, and I paid my full cash amount the prosecution refuse to respect the judges decision to let me go. They showed no evidence of me being a flight risk or a danger to the community.”

Then he turned his attention to the prosecutor, whom he calls “racist.” According to the rapper, “The prosecutor Mr. wheat looked at me singing Wipe Me Down, wiped his shoulders and shook his head with a look of evil in his eyes. This is total misconduct from a prosecutor. He is racist and has evil intentions.”

Boosie asked fans to come out, and help, saying, “I need the people of San Diego outside the court tomorrow to protest the injustice that is being done to me.”

Unfortunately, only one fan showed up outside the courthouse. The fan held a sign that read: “Free Torrence Ivy Hatch aka Boosie Badazz.”

How can we be so sure …. well, here are the facts.

The Baton Rouge artist was arrested on the night of May 6 during a traffic stop on Market Street in the Chollas View neighborhood after officers say they found two loaded guns inside the vehicle. 

Boosie, real name Torrence Hatch, was facing a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and he pleaded not guilty on Monday, May 15. Yesterday prosecutors in San Diego dropped all charges against Boosie – even though they had a virtual airtight case against him.

Why? Well because as soon as he left the courtroom, the FBI came and arrested him.

Now before you say that Boosie can beat that charge, by saying the gun wasn’t his, Boosie’s own mouth may have ended that defense. Listen to this recent podcast, where Boosie explains that he has people on his team specifically there to lie to police, if they are ever found with guns.

Media Take Out expects Boosie to be charged with a federal offense, a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), the law preventing felons to carry firearms.

A felony conviction, whether rendered in state or federal court, can come with more than imprisonment and a fine. Under a federal statute, it is illegal for any person found guilty of an offense punishable by more than 1 year in prison to possess a firearm or ammunition. Further it is unlawful for a person convicted of a felony to ship, transport, receive, or possess a firearm or ammunition.

So what are the penalties for such a charge …

Possessing a firearm or ammunition when prohibited by federal law – whether as a convicted felony or meeting other criteria is punishable by imprisonment for up to 15 years and/or a fine.

And we have even more insight into how long Boosie’s gonna be gone for.

According to the U.S. Sentencing Commission, in 2020, nearly 97% of those found guilty of unlawful possession were sentenced to prison, with the average term of imprisonment being just over 5 years.

The jeweler was in Houston for Boosie’s concert, and he decided to show off his jewels. Media Take Out confirmed that Duke wore $1M in chains to the concert, and posted dozens of photos of himself all across social media.

Unfortunately, police believe that his stunting on IG may have led the wolves right to him – and may have caused his death.

Media Take Out confirmed that Duke was ambushed by a group of men, as he was leaving the Boosie concert. He was shot multiple times, and stripped of all his jewels. The goons left his body in the middle of the street, and fled in a dark colored sedan. So far police have no suspects.

Boosie heard the shots that killed his friend, and immediately took to social media to explain what happened.

“We was in the garage. He must have walked outside to the parking lot. We was in the garage. We heard the shots. Like the was far away in the parking lot. He must have went to his car or something, bro. Dude was going to make a piece for me, too. Damn. We had a concert last night. Sh*t must have happened when everybody was walking to the car,” Boosie said.

According to documents obtained by DJ Akademiks, prosecutors have evidence that proves the rapper fired the fatal shots.

The ballistic reports, DNA evidence and phone records all point to the rapper being the shooter. Prosecutors also have evidence that the vehicle was shot up after the killing. The rapper denies the charges against him and has pleaded not guilty. His manager thinks a jury will find him not guilty.
