“I’m a very resilient person,” he shared. “I’ve had a very full life with lots of twists and turns. I come from strong, sturdy stock in Louisiana and I am lucky enough to be in a position where I don’t have to worry about, you know, not having a place to live or a home or whatever.”

Lemon is reportedly still owed $25 million from CNN. Still, he says he’s all good.

“My emotions are upward,” he added. “There’s a reason that this happened and then we’ll see what happens in the future but I’m actually here to celebrate the people from TIME 100 and not talk about me and what’s happened to me.”

Don Lemon slammed Ramaswamy for lecturing him about the Black experience in America, as the GOP candidate defended a recent speech he made at an NRA event where he accused the Democratic Party of wanting to put Black people “back in chains.”

“For you to compare it to 1865, and 1964 is actually… I think it’s insulting to Black people. It’s insulting to me as an African-American, I don’t want to sit here and argue with you because it’s infuriating for you to put that to put those things together. It’s not right. Your telling of history is wrong,” Lemon explained.

“Well, here’s where you and I have a different point of view. I think we should be able to express our views regardless of the color of our skin. We should have this debate without me, regarding you as a Black man,” Ramaswamy arrogantly stated.

“It’s insulting that you’re…” shot back Lemon.

“Regarding you here as a fellow citizen,” interjected Ramaswamy.

“That you’re sitting here whatever ethnicity you are splaining to me what it’s like to be Black in America,” Lemon replied.

“Whatever ethnicity I am?” asked a stunned Ramaswamy.

“I’ll tell you what I am? I’m an Indian American. I’m proud of it. But I think we should have this debate. Black, white, doesn’t matter,” he added.

“I think we should have this debate but I think we should,” Lemon replied as Ramaswamy said, “On the content of the ideas to do.”

“You should do it in an honest way and in a fair way. And what you’re doing is not an honest and fair way. We appreciate you coming on,” Lemon replied.

Don also tweeted, sharing that he was told about his firing by his agent.

“I am stunned. After 17 years at CNN, I would have thought that someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly,” Lemon wrote.

“At no time was I ever given any indication that I would not be able to continue to do the work I have loved at the network. It is clear that there are some larger issues at play.”

Don Lemon has been accused of being a misogynist and treating women less than respectfully behind the scenes.

Lemon made the comments on “CNN This Morning” during a discussion about South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, who is currently running as a Republican candidate for president against Donald Trump.

Lemon said that a woman is only “considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”

Nikki Haley is 51. Don Lemon is 56.

Lemon said on air: “If you Google, ‘when is a woman in her prime,’ it’ll say 20s, 30s, and 40s. … I’m not saying I agree with that so I think she has to be careful about saying that (politicians aren’t in their prime).”

According to new reports online, Don, 56, is being described as “moody” ever since new network CEO Chris Licht dumped him from his 10 P.M. primetime gig to co-host CNN This Morning with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins — a move that most in the entertainment world saw as a demotion.

Radar online is reporting that an Insider is saying that Don, “has a colossal ego and he’s the kind of person who goes around saying he’s not going to take the fall for his show flopping, it’s not his fault and the network’s tanking, and they shouldn’t have pushed him out of his primetime slot.”

And there’s more. Radar is suggesting that Don has been terrorizing his two Caucasian co-hosts, Poppy and Kaitlin. According to them, “Don keeps ripping into 30-year-old co-host Collins off-camera.” They claim that Don allegedly “reduced her to tears” when she interrupted him during a show last December.”

This Radar online report is just the latest in a series of anti-Don Lemon reports that are circulating in the media. Clearly there is a concerted effort to trash Don in the media, and blame the entire CNN collapse on him.

The NYT Post is reporting that the 56-year-old Lemon approached 30-year-old Collins following the show’s Thursday, Dec. 8, broadcast — and allegedly screamed in her face, in front of staffers. Don accused her of “interrupting” him on air.

“Don screamed at Kaitlan, who was visibly upset and ran out of the studio,” one source with knowledge told the NY Post.

And according to the report, Kaitlan went and told on Don to the CNN CEO Chris Licht, who is said to have been appalled by Don’s behavior, according to The NY Post. A second source said a producer talked to Lemon at the behest of Licht and told the anchor to take the next day off to “cool off.”

At this point, Kaitlan wants to be on set with Don “as little as possible,” a source with knowledge of the situation added. “It’s messy.”

A rep from CNN declined to comment on the incident but said: “In just three months, these anchors have created a compelling morning show that breaks news and drives the conversation.”

The surprising development was announced on Thursday, Media Take Out has learned, and it comes as CNN’s new chairman and CEO Chris Licht continues to shakeup his on-air talent in a bid to rescue the network’s recent poor ratings.

According to Chris Licht’s statement today, where announced the upcoming new morning show with Don Lemon as its lead, the CNN boss also revealed that anchors Poppy Harlow and Kaitlin Collins will join Lemon when the new program debuts later this year.

“There is no stronger combination of talent than Don, Poppy and Kaitlan to deliver on our promise of a game-changing morning news program,” Licht said in his statement. “They are each uniquely intelligent, reliable and compelling; together they have a rare and palpable chemistry.”

He added, “Combined with CNN’s resources and global newsgathering capabilities, we will offer a smart, bold and refreshing way to start the day.”

But whatever the spin, it’s a CLEAR demotion. Don Lemon had become the face of the news network’s primetime slot – its most popular time slot among viewers.

So far Don Lemon has not commented on the demotion.

“After a lot of inner reflection and a deep dive into my memory, I have come to realize that my recollection of the events that occurred on the night in question when I first met CNN anchor Don Lemon were not what I thought they were when I filed this lawsuit,” Dustin Hice said in a statement.

After Hice dropped the charges, Lemon’s attorney responded:

“This has been a long and difficult journey for Don,” the statement said. “Out of respect for the judicial process and my advice, he has had to remain silent in the face of a malicious and vulgar attack on his character.”

In 2018 Don Lemon was accused of sexually assaulting a man in court.

“[Lemon] put his hand down the front of his own shorts, and vigorously rubbed his genitalia, removed his hand and shoved his index and middle fingers into Plaintiff’s mustache and under Plaintiff’s nose,” the lawsuit reads.

“Lemon intensely pushed his fingers against Plaintiff’s face under Plaintiff’s nose, forcing Plaintiff’s head thrust backward as Defendant repeatedly asked Plaintiff ‘Do you like p-ssy or d-ck?’ While saying this, Mr. Lemon continued to shove his fingers into Plaintiff’s face with aggression and hostility,” the suit continued.
