Tory Lanez hopped on social media over the holiday weekend to give fans an update and share a snippet of new music.

“To my Family, my Friends, and to the Umbellas worldwide, I want y’all to know I haven’t lost my faith in God and that I’m in high spirits,” Lanez wrote. “I’m praying for the best and remain confident that God will bring me through this. I have spent the last seven months rehabilitating my mind, my body, and my soul. Though I came to jail a good person, I will leave as a great person. I’ve turned this jail cell into my work office.”

Lanez is facing up to 22 years and 8 months in prison ofter being convicted on charges stemming from the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

The song dropped but was then quickly removed from YouTube, Spotify, and various other platforms. Prosecutors want Lanez to serve at least 13 years behind bars.
